They say lightning doesn’t strike twice, but apparently snakes do. About a month ago, I came across a fantastic !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! . That machine is a pretty rare and special car. The !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! says that in total, 673 Shelby GT350 fastbacks were made in 1969. Only 139 GT350 convertibles were made in the same year, making them very rare and very special. This is one of those 139 cars.

To put that in perspective, my odds of seeing a Ferrari F40 when I came around the corner were roughly 10 times better than my odds of seeing this. Unlike the blue machine, which looked like it might’ve been all-original, this scarlet & cream dream looks like it’s been beautifully restored. The owner couldn’t have picked a more perfect day to bring the car out, and he wasn’t the only one enjoying the weather.

I absolutely love how this Cayman GTS was spec’d out.

And finally, this neat old Jeep CJ that’s been converted into a pickup truck.

I love the ‘69 Shelby body more than the ‘67-’68, especially in GT350 flavor because it got the 351C which gave it the right amount of punch without throwing off the handling like the bigger motor does.

I still have a pair of them in my room for use when I have a car cliche enough to stick them in for maximum cliche.

Well, but how many F40s are in the USA? My grandpa got the GT500 hardtop that year. I have to find pictures of me with that car, my mom will have them.
